WJ not starting.

1999 GC Limited 4.7L Went to good old Wally world today, left and started to turn onto my road, the power steering went out. Managed to get on my road, then it shuts off. Tried to start several times and nothing, it turned over, every time. First thought was fuel pump. So i sat in the vehicle on the side of the road, and looked some things up on my phone. I came across an issue with the alarm system(?) that possible caused it. The thread said to disconnect the neg terminal on the battery for a few minutes. I did that and it started after a few tries. Managed to get it to my house on the driveway. Tried to start again at my house, same thing, no start. A friend mentioned something about throttle body also. So... does anyone have any thoughts on this or prior experience?

Re: WJ not starting.

Could be a crank or cam sensor. Did you try the key dance? Ignition switch off/run 3 times and leave it in run at the third time. The odometer will show Done when all ok, or a fault code(s).
If no fault is shown, then check if you can hear the fuel pump running for the first 3 seconds after switching ignition in run.
