What are they gonna do, put in a smaller tank, or a big skid plate? Even if it becomes a recall they have to come up with a plan to fix them, and I will scrutinize every detail before my Jeep goes anywhere near a dealer to get "fixed".
The article doesn't mention anything about the factory skid plate on the rear of some WJs, I wonder if that protects it in a crash or if the steel just gets pushed into the tank?
No news is good news I presume. It's either still under investigation or been dismissed. If you run a search on it, the last articles written were in June when this issue first came out.
