Under the hood there is a sticker that says "this vehicle is equipped with remote start" I can't figure out the combination though. My father - in - law has a WJ V8 and his has a factory remote start as well, his combo is lock, unlock, lock. But that doesn't work for mine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thx in advance.

OK, this is my specialty. No, there wasn't ever a OEM remote start for the WJ. There were ad ons that some dealers were selling. There's a whole host of aftermarket ones that you can get just about anywhere. The most popular iswww.directed.com*which can be bought at any big chain store. A better one is*www.compustar.com*they're hard to find though. The best bang for the buck is*www.scytek.net*. Prices depend on warranty, labor, and features. Try to pick one that has higher FM freqency because that'll get you better range. You should also go ahead and get one with it's own keyless entry because there's an interface needed to disarm the OE alarm which also does keyless through the OBII connector. I installed one in mine about 2 days after I bought it.
