A WJ is normally a grand cherokee from 1999-2004. A 2005-2010 is named a WK, and 2011 and on is a WK2.
Because you say that you have a 2005 model, it seems to be a WK. Which engine does it have?
Ok, since your jeep is a WK model, you probably better post this in the WK section, then you have more changes to get a good response. I will try my best at least on this one.
Since you got a fault message and fault light, you probably need to take it to a shop or even a store like autozone, where they can check the fault code for you. Knowing the code, will make the trouble shooting a lot easier and will prevent unnecessary checks and/or parts replacements. I believe that autozone or any other store will do the scan for free, a shop probably not.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
