I would probably go with chrome to match the rest of the car, the black may look like your Jeep has black eyes! I stuck with the silverstar 9006SX for high beams but silverstars aren't HID, they are just extra bright halogens. HIDs would be something like this: Xtreme HID Conversion Kits | HID Kits | HID Replacement Bulbs The 5000K kits are about the purest white, any lower color temps get more yellow looking and above that goes from bright blue to purple.

Just before I order these, silly question here possibly, but I assume that the turn signals on this show as AMBER? Obviously these will be used in the UK, will they meet UK specs? Not sure how it is in the US, but here, you have to either have amber tinted glass OR amber bulbs for the turn signals! I can see amber colour in there, but not sure how it shows when in use?

it uses your existing bulbs for turn signals/parking lights, they should already be the factory amber bulbs. The LEDs on the side are white only, so it just depends if you hook them to turn signal or parking lights.

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ To An HID Setup

Ahhh so, in theory could I have these set to day time driving LEDs (the three at the side)?

Good news on the Amber then so I'll be fine if it uses existing bulbs. Think I'll order these this weekend...

Found these which seem too cheap to be true? Including shipping to UK, 185... Mmmmm

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ To An HID Setup

Both sets are decent, the bottom one you could probably play around with and do something like a LED blinker with the LEDs flashing in sequence (if that's legal over there)

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ To An HID Setup

Hi Guys,
Okay, just purchased these front lights, however I want white front bulbs and don't want to reuse my existing yellowy bulbs.

Now, what bulbs that are white/with a slight blue tins would you reccomend I replace my standard bulbs with? Just want the whole front end to have a light blue hue to it and be alot brighter as the standard lights/buls are poor in the pitch black. If someone could linky me them so I can get them ordered. Cheers guys you'v ebeen a big help here.

I suggest you go with xenon depot.. They are on here quite a bit.. I have 5000k and it's slight blue.. Unless you wanted just standard bulbs then I'm not sure.. But you don't really don't know what your missing until you upgrade your lights to these bad boys..

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ To An HID Setup

Check out xenon depot, carid, etc. and google the charts showing what each HID puts off, from bright white to blues and pick which one you want to set up.

Re: An Introductory Guide To Upgrading Your WJ To An HID Setup

If you want the side LEDs to be brighter, go to, I think it's advanced auto and get ya Alpina Hyper LEDs in white (they come in a pack of 4), swap them out with the ones that came with the housing, and wire them in how you want. Makes a huge difference.
