Smile CB Radio install

Hello all, Not sure if this is the right place for this question, I would like to install a cb radio in my 04 overland with a kicker behind it. Now the issue is just from looking there is hardly a place to put one, I really dont want to drill any holes in the dash just yet. So has anyone installed a cb and if so where and how does it look? Thought about trying to find a small one that would fit into the little space between the heated seat buttons. any suggestion from anyone?

Re: CB Radio install

I have one but I haven't mounted mine in my Jeep yet. I've seen a lot of different set ups. Some don't want to drill out in the open and I've seen people mount them in the center console, under the seat, back and under the glove box. It's pretty much up to your own creativity and how well you can access to turn it on and off.

Re: CB Radio install

The few I have seen have been drilled into two basic areas.

1) the lower portion of the center console on the left side. So it fits and just sits in front of the driver's seat. It worked well cause it was easy access and didn't make the driver uncomfortable. The only downside was you couldn't move the seat very far forward with it attached.

2) the other is onto the dashboard passenger side.

If it's small Like the simple unidens and cobras you can do what guy in post above did but if your putting in a 29ltd/ranger,galaxy, or as large you will probably be putting it on.passenger side on the side of center counsel. And running good wires to/from battery. Here is a site might help
