Not sure about a Bonneville, maybe on the passenger side between the engine and firewall? I've seen it back there on a few GM cars.

Unfortunately I'm quite familiar with the PS reservoir on the cruiser, at least its right on top on the passenger side of the engine cover. Easy enough to keep topping it off.

He's also removing all amber lenses from the Jeeps as he goes along...by far the strangest MO we've ever seen"
No more Frankentard! Put in the new bolts this weekend, definitely an improvement over stock.

I'm not allowed to touch it...........................yet I have been lurking in a few PT forums though gaining knowledge for the future. I plan on using the it's broken and I have to work on it scenario to get my foot in the door Probably first thing is tires. Those super low profiles aren't gonna cut it up here.

hahha i agree, low pro tires wouldnt do well here either. my road has huge pot holes in it. didnt Chrysler make the PT Losers in a "Turbo" edition?

oh, not sure your stance on this, but Airraid makes a throttle body spacer for the (i believe...) 99 and newer PT. i saw it at work last night

Yeah the tires aren't the best, but we have Arizonian silver edition tires on since the beginning of last winter, they handle pretty well in the snow. I'd avoid pot holes as much as possible in that car anyway.

Its kinda funny, with the PT being so low my floor jack barely fits underneath, but to get enough height on the jeep to get a wheel off the ground I have to use a block of wood on the jack

Lol, I don't mean to scare you, I am a firm believer there is a curse against cars that my wife drives

Re: Damn Jeep (Dave's pitiful suspension upgrade thread)

OK kids time to get moving on this thing again! FINALY the right front brake hoses!!!!!

Now for the next one of you fools who decides to go with ss hoses on your WJ learn from my STRESS. There are 2 different part numbers for each side of the front brake hoses on an '04 WJ. Don't ask me why I still don't know and at this point I really don't care anymore! All the parts manuals show the same drawing but 2 part numbers and the hose on the drawing is not my hose.
Front hose for '99 to supposedly '04 WJ:

The hose on my '04:

As you can see they are way different. The hoses Classic Tube sent me first headed under the steering knuckle but looked like the '99-'04 hose above. The calipers are Akebonos well at least use Akebono pads anyhow. I ended removing my good rubber hoses and sent them along with the stuff that wouldn't fit so they could copy them after they sent the same wrong stuff the second time. The moral of the story here is if you have hoses that look like mine call them first and let them know. They have a pattern from mine now. It will save your jeep from sitting on jack stands in your garage with no brakes for a month One good thing that came out of this is I replaced every hard line on my Jeep while I was waiting with pre bent lines from Mopar. Actually quite a bargain in this day and age for $109.
All 5 lines:

Also when doing brakes one of these vacuum bleeders from Harbor Freight for $25 quickly becomes your best friend.

FYI on the cruiser, I think I know what happened to the steering hose. Keep an eye on the 2 brackets that hold the rubber line to the bottom of the transmission case. The hose seems to move around a bit, and the bracket wears through the rubber grommet and then the hose. The hose is a pain to get at to replace, the hydraulic shop at work made me a hose with special compression like fitting like ends. I cut off the rubber section at the metal and put on the new hose section, it works perfectly!

Thanks bud. I think I'll take a look under there today just for peace of mind.

Re: Damn Jeep (Dave's pitiful suspension upgrade thread)

Well I finally managed to free up some time to work on the WJ today. Finally, finally, finally this brake fiasco is over! All lines are on and everything is bled and believe it or not I actually have brakes again!

Also came up with some sleeve material for my limit chains so they should be nice and quiet now.
