Re: Damn Jeep

Anyways in a feeble attempt to get this useless thread back on track I actually ventured out to the garage got the front end up in the air, blocked, tires off and found a hole in the frame above the bump stop nuts and promptly filled both sides with a whole can of blaster so hopefully tomorrow i can accomplish something. If any of you are planning on extending your bump stops I strongly urge you to find this hole and use it. I think I'm gonna shoot some spray grease in there when done for some home grown rustproofing.

If there's a hole that gives access to the nuts, you can also heat it up to help break them loose.

Looks like there are quite a few a hole on here that like accessing their nuts...hahahahhaa

I WILL BE UPGRADING MY MEMBERSHIP HERE JUST TO GET RID OF THAT DAMN COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahha.

Seriously...who even came up with that gawd-awful color? It's like some jack-tard mixed orange with yellow and decided it would be the mandatory color to put on all vehicles in one way or another. I'm telling you guys, the government is tracking you through your amber lenses...

That would be nice but the hole is only about the size of a dime and way above the nuts so a PB Blaster can with a straw is about all you can do here.

How do you go about upgrading your membership? Do you just donate more or something? They really don't explain the levels of memberships in a concise way in the support area.

Re: Damn Jeep

I actually don't know...I have not asked yet. I was going to let my current one lapse, and then sign up at the next level. I got my current membership by going here:
http://www.jeepgarage.org/payments.php
It explains what you get for each level.
_______

Cheap, any luck today?

Re: Damn Jeep

You guys crack me up! maybe I can get Scott to make an all amber background, just for Tony....

Dave, loose nuts, small holes, it definitely makes for an awkward combination...

I anxiously await to see how it goes, I think I have learned something from all this: There is enough wrong with my Jeep, leave the bump stops alone! Damn rust...

Good luck with that lol. After the link you gave me, Level 4 will only bold your name in the Gold/Amber color. The only salvation you can hope to get is if you become a Lifetime member for a one time fee of like $100 or downgrade to get a different color.

Bahhahaha! This keeps getting better and better. I talked to Amber Haters Anonymous a division of Pink Belongs on a Prius LLC may be willing to make a small donation to help Tony on his stairway to lifetime Well on to the Jeep
Success on the passenger side as you can see I actually had penetrating oil running out frame holes

As for the drivers side It's on to plan "C" or "D" I tried welding nuts to the remaining bolts and that didn't work so luckily the tacks broke and I still have the broken bolts sticking out.Next I was going to cut slots in them and try to screw them back up through the frame and let them lay in there bet couldn't get the grinder centered over them right. So now I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead and get 2 coupling nuts(go ahead have fun with that one guys)thread them on to what is left sticking out plus weld them on the outside. Then I'll drill the spacers to go over them. I've spent too much time on this already.

I hope AHA working with PBP LLC can help him out. If they can't we'll have to host a Bikini car wash at McDonalds
