Wait, is that the 4.0? Not that that makes it any better...
Nope unfortunately it's mine. The '99 has about 230k on it and the pan looks like new.Mine has 67k and runs maybe about 5 times a winter and looks like that. Iv'e had to sand and repaint this one 4 times since '07 If you Google this you'll see that thousands of people have had to replace pans on 4.7s as new as '07.They're about as thick as a beer can and there should be a recall on these pieces of crap.I'm gonna try to clean this up once more to buy some time but I don't know it's pretty thin.
I ordered a new one from Rock Auto and am gonna have it sprayed professionally with some bedliner 'cause I'm tired of dealing with it. Keep an eye on them guys 'cause this is the real world up here not the west or the south.I had to change one of these on my old '00 Durango and it wasn't fun.

Hmmm.... kinda looks like my bench, Santa bring you a set of Addco sways too?
Just the rear and new links on all 4 corners for now. Whatever you do Aaron don't run those spaghetti links with your new bars. If I remember I'll show you the difference between the two. I'm on the fence about the front bar as there isn't much difference in them size wise. We'll see how the beefy end links do up there and take it from there. I'm really expecting to see some serious handling improvements out of this Bilstein,Addco,Zone and Energy Suspension combo. Also my spacers should be here tomorrow from Kevin's Offroad which will give me a total of about 3.25" of lift. I'm really looking forward to the end result

I'll have to take a close look at mine next time I'm under there. I bought mine from a private owner in a rural area where salt wasn't used. Mine was like new underneath...I was shocked when I first rolled under it. I will check it though, and maybe even roll some paint on it while it still looks good (hopefully). Where I'm at, they salt the roads for fun, so it's probably only a matter of time. Of all things to take metal out of....ugh...

New end links were delivered today! I was on the fence about the front bar too, but Santa (dad) thought we might as well do both. And I've heard from Tony that he kinda likes them. IIRC, he did the front first and noticed a nice difference before doing the rear.

Good movie but I still prefer Das Boot, U-571 and The Hunt for Red October better.

What was the main reason you and your father bought new end links? Better handling? I've never purchased any before.

The end links in a WJ are pretty wimpy Here's a comparison shot and Aaron did you end up getting your links from Zone? If so here's Zone vs stock still on the Jeep.

Re: Damn Jeep (Dave's pitiful suspension upgrade thread)

Yeah! Dave's brain fart is finally repaired!

Tony you can see from this pic and the passenger side pic above the front O2 sensors are facing forward on the downpipe and should be pretty easy to change. don't know about the rears though I think they're on top after the pre cats somewhere.

And finally the final piece to the puzzle came a day early from Kevins Ofroad. Been waiting for these.

LOL That's 2" teflon I cut from some scrap pieces I got from work.My new Bilsteins are for 3"to 4" of lift and I'm gonna end up with a shade over 3" so I want to make sure the suspension bottoms out before the shock does.Got to protect the "Steins" at all cost.
