Heater blend doors

I'm curious if anyone has done the repair on blend doors without pulling dash? I found a kit that says it can be done, but I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried it.

Re: Heater blend doors

I did this repair on my 2004 GCL in Sept of 2008. Works very well and saves you from pulling dash. This is a very easy repair. You have either single or dual control. Follow the attached link. Good Luck!

Re: Heater blend doors

Thanks for the validation. I've come across another site stating to do the same thing as the link you provided. I cut open the side and my doors are in fact busted. I just need the heat right now due to winter in Wisconsin, so I just propped the doors up to force the air through the heater. Once I get the kit, I'll do the fix, but at least I have heat!
