Hi im new here and being my first post i thought i would share my first quick fix. I just bought my 2002 GC Ltd auto and when my wife went to drive it ,she had to bring the drivers seat foward to the point where the steering wheel was against her gut and her foot barely reached the accelorator pedal so i had i look under the dash. What i saw was that the pedal had alot of free travel if you lift the pedal upwards which also brings it closer to the drivers seat so the solution for this was to place a packer or something on the cable that would eliminate the travel. So i cut of the plastic tube to lenght 30mm and then split it down the centre to be able to put this on the cable. I then rapped it with tape and then put on a zip tie. Pedal slightly higher and closer to drivers seat and wife is happy.

Re: My short wifes foot barely reaches Accelorator pedal

Sounds good as long as there is no way that tube can cause the pedal to stick.
