Actually the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S can go off road. They don't have a 2-Speed Transfer Case (no low range); but they do have Air Suspension along with other off road specific features (ELSD, etc).

Additionally, the Range Rover does not look half as aggressive as the Jeep. In order to make the Jeep offroad worthy, the ground effects will have to be adjusted which will sacrifice looks.
And yet, somehow Porsche manages to create an aggressive and fast looking SUV that retains some off road ability.

I like it - going to be sweet. I have spoken to the dealer about getting on a wait list as it will be limited in production.

I see from your signature that you own both a 2014 SRT and a 2014 Range Rover Sport.

Care to give your impressions about how they compare to each other?

Re: 550 hp

Well the 550 HP version of the RRS has been officially announced.

It is called the RRS SVR:

Official: Hi-Po 2015 Range Rover Sport Dubbed SVR

Re: 550 hp

I personally like both the new RR from a performance perspective and I don't mind it but I wouldn't own one.

I am a huge porsche fan, but not big on anything other than their 911s. Yeah the panameras are nice, their cayennes are nice (a friend has 2012 cayenne S which is pretty sweet) and so on... but I wouldn't own one.

I grew up knowing if you wanted a porsche, it was a 911. Be it a turbo, a carrera s or GT series...but it was a two door beast from hell. Sure you can buy a 2-3 corvettes for the price of a turbo, but I'd rather have a turbo. That's just me.

I just think everyone has different opinions and tastes with regards to vehicles. If you truly ask me what I'd drive as a sports vehicle (I use vehicle because it extends passed sedans and coupes to suvs as well) I'd go pick me up a Golf R or Scirocco R and tune the hell out of it. But that's just me. I like the little 4 bangers with their turbos. I don't think many people actually know much about these vehicles. My dad has a 2012 Scircco R and no one around here knows that it's a feisty little devil. That thing moves, especially after a stage 1 ECU tune. It's funny when I see big V8s next to me and I zip passed em, and they have no idea what just happened.

If you check out the new Golf R, revo released an ECU upgrade that will have your Golf R on par with an Audi R8 considering acceleration. That's insane coming from a little 4 cylinder 2.0L engine. Gotta love them turbo chargers. Also, our family have a history of VW vehicles and not one has ever given us a problem. I hear about their reliability issues but I have never seen one over the span of 7 VW vehicles owned by our family. Maybe we just have good luck. So I guess the same applies to every vehicle. A friend of mine has a 2006 RR vogue (i think it's called vogue) which kept crapping out, he traded it for a 2012 Sport and has never had a problem since. So I guess it's also luck or the dealership or both?

I love the SRTs as well but I just think where I live, it's too much money. They cost about 21,000 Kuwaiti Dinars starting which is approximately 73,000 USD. I just don't see myself putting down that kind of money on an SUV solely for performance. RR in Kuwait? Don't even get me started... def not worth that kind of cash here. Same for the Cayennes etc.

I would be willing to pay the inflated price for a porsche 911 turbo if I had the cash but I obviously don't. So that's that. But, to each his own right?

EDIT: P.S. Scott, it does look like the new explorer which makes my cringe as well.
