Re: Caliber SRT4

The one we drove was a GX base model with steel wheels and winter tires, When we found the GT we took it for a test drive and it was much nicer, most likely due to the wheel setup

We also had just tested the SRT4 before going to Mazda that day, so Maybe I was just a little fired up after driving the Dodge! haha

Her new car is nice, But we usually still drive my Jeep!

Re: Caliber SRT4

Doesn't matter now since you didn't get it, but aren't the caliber SRT4s FWD? If I remember correctly that was the main complaint in a review that I read.

Re: Caliber SRT4

Yes they are FWD, If they have a decent AWD system they would have sold a lot more of them IMO

Couldn't agree more.

The internet has some chatter about running SRT4 engines to RWD applications using a Dakota bell housing and a Supra transmission, which is supposedly a direct bolt on? Never seen one, but I do remember reading an article about a Salt Flat speed trial, and the car was some kit-car roadster running an SRT4 engine somehow. I didn't get a chance to finish the article.
