Pontiac G8 GT?

Anyone have any experience with them?

I drove one a while ago while car shopping and loved it. At the time it was way out of my price range. Now a used one it totally within my range! I know its not a jeep SRT, lol but it IS a 6.0L luxury car!

Has anyone heard anything? good, bad, or other?

I know Pontiac is no more, so how would that effect me?

I've never driven one, but I'd love to. Much better looking than an equivalent euro sedan or caddy.
A for the Pontiac situation...it wont affect you. Any applicable warranty is still valid and last I remember there are government mandates that every component must be available for purchase/repairs for a minimum of ten years.

And it can't be ignored how massive the aftermarket is for for the SBC design engine.

Yes sir my wife has one. By far better than my Gto from The factory. They haven't had any major problems like the gto's did. They are real balanced in weight and can be made into real street monsters. My wife already told me she wants another after we run mileage up in hers. Lol

Re: Pontiac G8 GT?

pontiac being no more would not be a problem. parts would be easy to come by and GM will still supply them. the gto is a Holden Monaro from Australia and the 6.0 is awesome!

Good cars. Common as muck over here. Pretty bulletproof

Re: Pontiac G8 GT?

Solid looking and riding car. Good power, clean inside and out! That said, its still a Pontiac lol, read in to that however you want but anyone who knows, knows Not saying shes gonna fall apart on you, but if it becomes a money pit dont be shocked lol.

So many on the market and you always wonder why hmmm must be something up with them. Same goes for the company, just look at them whewww boy. Id drive it, do some research and make your decision. The internet is going to be your friend here, search up on common problems they have, check forums etc. Id never buy one for a DD, track car maybe but thats it. I don't know what your looking for but assuming u want 4 doors and some performance/luxury, Id look at these too, cant hurt

Re: Pontiac G8 GT?

My girlfriend has a low mileage white g8 gt for sale she wants a wrangler unlimited for the winters here. the only problem she's had with it is something with the passenger side strut. It's a super common issue with the g8s and covered under warranty so its not a big deal. we got 25 mpg on the highway the other day...beats my 15 in the SRT8 haha

I know nothing about this car except it looks great. I've always liked the look of pontiacs.
