Which car to choose?

So my dad wants me to help him choose a car to replace their 05 chevy malibu, what would you guys recommend in the 2011 lineup. I think price limit is about 26-27,000 or so.

Re: Which car to choose?

I'd go Japanese.
Subaru are great cars with excellent resale.
A Legacy is always a safe bet.

Re: Which car to choose?

You said a car/4dr/30mpg or better. The Malibu is nice and meets all that. I just drove one.

Now if you said a Jeep and dropped the 30mpg criteria the answer would be different.
