Re: Who else rides 2 wheels?

My ride for sunny days. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1451787705.936069.jpg

Had her since 2012 so it's time to shop around a little. I'm waiting to see some new models, at the motorbike show, on feb 28.

I might go for the the new gen MV Brutale, or even the Yam MT-10. Gotta sit on them first.

Cheers,
Ollie

So that's it? A new bike every 3 years? Are you in it for the ride or always looking for the latest and greatest? Statistics have proven a person doesn't even get use to their bike until after 3 years. I feel I haven't even used my bike to its full potential even then. I never will.

Outside of my HD fat boy I've always loved the old rc51. Thay vtwin sound always gets me. As for Ducati, I always feel the dry open clutch ruins the sound of the bike for me.. Imho of course

Every statement here is so true.

When it comes to older bikes, the RC51 is by far my favorite.

Dry clutch, no thanks.

I like the crossplane engine. Smooth when digging deep out of the corners and easy on tires.

Please excuse my poor BP below…

R1? Long story short, I met a guy in Chicago with a 2007 (I think) rc51 with 1200 miles on her. Just listening to the guy talk, he had more money than balls and scared himself good with the bikes power. Trying to buy it from him and get it back to NY, but since it's been sitting for almost 5 years the amount of work I'm going to have to do to her will be substantial.
