And with wood panels it won't be a serious competitor to Mercedes GL, Audi Q7, etc. The whole retro thing is gimmicky and played out. Time to look forward- not back if Jeep wants to compete with the big boys. Bottom line is that wood belongs inside a car- not outside.

Audi engineers are jealous of the original Chrysler Woody.

Now that is pretty cool and at least real wood. If Jeep is going with wood on the outside, they may as well go with the giant chrome bumpers, whitewall tires and canvas roof.

Agreed.

I expect it to look like basically a new Commander, a little bigger, with some GC cues thrown in for good measure.

The blue truck Scottina posted tells me that he GC's styling wouldn't work well stretched out. Thus, I doubt it will be as svelte as the GC, and will probably look more upright.

Re: Any photos or updates on this subject?

I'm hoping for the Durango size, with a jeep styling. I'd like to see a Hugh grand wagoner grille, possibly squared off

I concur, PLEASE NO WOOD!!

We have learned about some more sophisticated materials to use on a luxury car, aluminum, carbon fiber, etc. move the Wagoneeer forward not backwards.

BTW, all those photoshopped photo are missing the fact that the car needs to be streached and rear roof raised, the most accurate one is the one that's based on the white GL with some ugly trim on :-)

I think there is rumor of the 6.4L Hemi being an option on the GW. Anybody have info on that?
