Would it be normal for a brand new model to be unveiled at the dealer show, rather than minimizing risk of leaks by waiting for the big unveiling at the auto show?
They unveiled the new GC, Liberty, 200, 100, Ram, special editions Wranglers, Town and Country, etc. I don't think they realize that some people are going to take notes and really try to remember what they saw so people like me can post the info.
This new Jeep is going to fully replace the Durango (which will go RIP) so actually they could do it very fast, just replacing the front clip, rear lights and interior dash. I would think it would sit higher than the current Durango as it is not very off road oriented and a Jeep has to be off road capable.
Dodge would be more like a "sporty" brand; I read they are even speculating on desapearing the Grand Caravan from the lineup and just keep the minivan format on the Chrysler brand.

Im sure they will make it off-road worthy as the architecture which also underpins the GC is built for off-road. It may even come with the air-suspension to further increase height, departure, break-over, and approach angles.
The news about the Grand Caravan is old. The Caravan will stay as the sole minivan and Chrysler will be getting an upscale crossover based on the same platform (Similar to what the Pacifica and Mercedes R-class was).
I just seriously hope we get some info about it at the auto show, as Sergio said we would. 2013 was supposed be a vehicle shopping year for me, and I was really was hoping for a 3-row vehicle, but the towing capability and diesel gas mileage of the GC is VERY tempting. If I found out that the GW was coming with a diesel option for $55,000 or lower, it's a no-brainer for me to wait.
