I recently rented a 2012 Dodge Durango Crew as had to carry a longer load to from Boulder, Co to Jackson Hole, WY. Much more room, great ride and handling and interior comfort, as I saw this as a way to "preview" wether or not to wait for a 2013/14 Grand Wagoneer to replace my 2005 WK.
The 3.6 Pentastar V6 performed very well in the larger, heavier vehicle, even up the Teton Pass over to Idaho and down again it had great engine braking. A little whine when punching it to pass on Wyoming 2 lanes, but it was so good that I would not get the V8.
