I've seen 3 of these on the road already, including 2 Trailhawks! Granted, I live near Detroit. But I like what I've seen so far.

Any other sightings on the road yet?

Hmmm... I'm in the northern suburbs of Detroit. Must be the execs are getting them early.

The Trailhawks really stand out and catch the eye. The other didn't stand out nearly as much. In fact, I was with a friend, and he just thought it was a Grand Cherokee or something.

No pictures, it didn't happen. I could say I saw Milous at the bar but didn't get a picture, so did it really happen?

Seriously starting to like the Cherokees-after seeing it in person at the NY Auto show-after initial "disgust" from pics and then learning its capabilities-it seems it will put Escape, Rav4, CRV etc to shame....and it has a distinct look vs those 3 compact SUVs too

Angle.

In regards to its looks... at first I hated it. (Plant spy pics), then the official images came out... it looked OK. I still like the red Trailhawk.

This vehicle does not look good in white to me at all.

My biggest gripe with it now is how small it is. It isn't anywhere near as big as it looks.

Where would you put it with it's size vs its competitors in the compact SUVs - bigger/smaller than what???

Well I just looked at the specs and it falls right in with the Escape as far as size which puzzles me because it doesn't LOOK anywhere NEAR that big.

Maybe that's the real problem. It just LOOKS tiny?

They are ALL in desperate need of a lift kit and some worthwhile tires, I know that. But when you need to hit that magical 30+ MPG number these days... well... guess there's no choice. :(

I've always liked the BFG's but just never purchased any. However I'm also considering this
General*Grabber AT 2
Q Tech;

The Firestone Destination AT is an EXCELLENT tire. Great in the snow, good ride, good off road, etc... and they wear very well. Give them a chance. They are not your typical OEM crappy tire( unless these are built to a lower grade ).

If you just want the BFG's go for it. Just don't do it assuming the AT's are another crappy OE tire. They are not. They are a very popular tire( #1 on Tirerack reviews ).

I had Firestone Wilderness AT's on my Ford Ranger (10 years ago). When the Explorer roll over fiasco happened everyone jumped ship to Goodyears. The Firestones were 10 times the tire the Goodyears were. I hear good things about the BFG's but I also rely heavily on the Tirerack reviews. I always say tires are the only thing touching the ground, don't cheap out.

I've kept a sharp eye out for the Cherokee since I last saw one in Toledo last week. I haven't seen any others but it's interesting today I saw 3-4 Toyota Tundra's, a couple Cadillac coupes, and what looked like some Kia or Hyundai Suv's. All under the black and white swirly wraps and bug guards.

Saw a white one on Sat June 15 westbound on Riverside Dr in Windsor. Drop dead gorgeous. I had to do a double take as it as coming towards me and I wondered what it was. I think that was the point that I realized we'd have to swap my wife's Escape for something with a transfer case that has a neutral. Couldn't think of a better combination of colour, size and weight to tow behind a "white" motorhome.
