Not a fan of the gold tone trim in the all black interior. They do this on the GC too. Silver looks so much better.

I saw AC listed as part of the Safety Package which I found strange.

I've not seen it in person but from these pics I agree 100%

Thanks for all the awesome info, Milous.

The new cherokee is really growing on me. Although with all the crazy electrical architecture issues with the 2014 GC, I somehow feel the new cherokee will be even more problematic due to it being a new vehicle from A to Z.

It is growing on me, too. However, I too am a little fearful of buying early into a new model introduction.

So watched the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Driveline Q&A and the one thing I learned that wasn't divulged anywhere else is that the whole driveline is maintenance free. So no need to change the oil in the differentials, PTU, etc.

There are actually no drain plugs on either the rdm or the ptu.

A/C is standard on all. There is an a/c system that is upgraded... I haven't seen info on what the difference is... if you get the tech package you probably need it to keep from burning up from all the electronical gizmo stuff!

That is a very BAD idea. I do not believe in lifetime fluids.

There is pretty much no way to add oil even if there were drain plugs. Everything is too crammed in there.
