re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee KL - Features, Options & Pricing

"Build and Price" is now functioning on the official Jeep site for the 2014 Cherokee.

re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee KL - Features, Options & Pricing

Question for MILOUS.

When I used the "Build and Price" on the official Jeep site there was an option for a "compact spare tire" for $195. IF I do NOT choose that option, what do I get?

(My current vehicle has a can of "tire inflater" instead of a spare.)

Both are over priced but it is what it is. And the Equinox is AWD not 4WD.

Just curious how you can compare a vehicle that is brand new and not even out there yet to one that is? Have you somehow been able to drive a new Cherokee? I am not being a tool either. The Cherokee should be more capable with 4WD than the Equinox with AWD but other than that it is impossible to really say anything until the new Cherokee actually hits the streets.

At the rate things are going with it's delayed release dates( again and again )who knows when that will be. I just don't understand some of the comments people make about the new Cherokee being the end all be all or it is better than vehicle X that actually is out there already. There is on paper and then there is real world. For me I have to wait to actually see one and drive it before I can gush about it.

The new Cherokee could be the best thing since sliced bread or it could be a massive flop. No one knows right now.

"TIRE SERVICE KIT" (tire inflater).

Simple facts:

-Towing capacity much higher on the Cherokee = Stronger platform = More durable vehicle
-I drive many things that have not been released to the public.

Delays:

I have no idea what you are talking about, most dealers I talk to have scheduled accepted orders. Are you going on Milous data because to my knowledge he has the correct info, the rest I have seen have been rumors. I have seen scheduled orders for clients, so really not sure what you are getting at?

Ok, you got to drive one. That is great for you( serious - not sarcastic ). I haven't nor have most people so I have to hold off praising it, other than based on what I see in pictures and on paper, and/or comparing it to vehicles out there. You clearly have opportunities others don't which is good for you.

You haven't been paying attention then if you think there have been no delays with the new Cherokees release. Been quite a few delays along the way announced( by Chrysler ). Ok the order banks are now open. Great. Have they finally fixed the programming issues with the new 9spd yet? The new Cherokees that have been built since production started up have been sitting idle waiting for software updates. There was a link about it posted here.

So until I actually see this vehicle show up on the showroom floors I will have some skepticism they really are ready to ship them. That's all.

Towing capacity is something you can compare yes. However, you can't claim the Cherokee is more durable at this time vs any vehicle. Unless you meant rugged not durable. Durable implies time tested and proven.

Placed an order for a limited today with dealership. I also have a GC on order. See which one comes in first before my lease is up

I have a completely different opinion on durability, but I am going to keep that until they launch the 4x4 models to see if I'm right.
