Re: 2016 Cherokee Arrived at Dealer today
First 1000 miles and first impressions:
It really does make a difference in performance in sport mode.
Have finally learned the button presses when starting up. Hit A to turn off the auto engine stop, turn knob to sport mode, hit accept on the screen.
The brakes are still making noises when stopping, but I figure they haven't fully seated yet. Tried to do a few hard stops to bed them, but the nanny kicks in. So, I will let them seat themselves eventually. It doesn't really matter.
The battery on one of the fobs died. Went to the dealer and they said to expect to change the battery often as it is always transmitting data. Cheap enough. You might get a hint when the back tailgate doesn't respond as the sensor is further away than those in the door handles.
This is the first vehicle I have had with auto windshield wipers. They work fine but it is a bit strange to not have to touch levers to switch them on. Same for the auto lights, work as advertised.
So things are fine with the Jeep. Still happy and no transmission issues whatsoever. Love the stereo system, it rocks. Stay tuned for a 2k report.
