Re: 2016 Jeep Cherokee KL - Features, Options and Pricing

Many thanks

If I am not so rapt with the rear of the KL, and particularly the contrast & look of the rear fender vs the painted sheet metal, what colour do you think best disguises that contrast?

Not sure if I'm explaining it best. What colour best fits/ suits/ looks best with the rear fender, in your view?

Black? Rhino? Recon Green?

Cheers

I think you're probably referring to the cladding and bumpers rather than the fenders. If that's the case, the closest color is the Granite which you can see in posts 54 and 55 above.

I agree with the Granite

Oh and larger more agressive tyres and a 30mm lift. Makes the back look heaps betterer..

Re: 2016 Jeep Cherokee KL - Features, Options and Pricing

No big deal, but the door inserts on the black/beige interior spec in the 75th are shown in Jeep build/ promotional pics to be black and beige. I've been trawling vehicles for sale and all photos I've seen of the 75th show solely black interior door finishes when the black/ beige seats are selected

Not out here in Australia until May, but if given the option I'd prefer the black and beige.

Thanks for the Granite photos - I agree. Looks terrific & probably my preference, now

My 75th has the beige interior but the doors are all black. The only hint of the Anniversary Edition there is the white and orange stitching on the armrests. Surprisingly, the door handles themselves are the standard brushed aluminum color rather than the bronze that replaced all the other brushed aluminum colored trim on the dash, console and steering wheel.

Re: 2016 Jeep Cherokee KL - Features, Options and Pricing

Who has a 2016 that's not an Anniversary Edition? Is there a bit of a nod to 75 years on yours also? The AE has a small "Since 1941" almost hidden on the steering wheel, wondering if it's on all of them.

The steering wheel spokes that form a "U" or a "V" between the hub and the bottom of the wheel have a thin black insert lining the inside of the spokes and across the bottom of it is embossed "Since 1941." Is that on the non AE's?

Good observation. Doubt I'd have ever noticed that commemorative statement on my non-AE. I like it.

Is it there? It took me about three weeks to see it on my Anniversary Edition. Iwonder if they snuck it in on every Jeep model?

Re: 2016 Jeep Cherokee KL - Features, Options and Pricing

On page 1 of this thread, Milhous says that the sales launch date for the 2016 Cherokee was Sept. 1, 2015. I have started a conversation with my local Jeep dealer to find out how much time I have left to order a 2016 model from the factory. The dealer rep told me that, last year, they didn't receive their first 2016 units until December and that they only had a weeks notice they were coming. I also was told by a salesperson who works for Koons that the 2016 models will be made until the end of 2016. I know sales people can be clueless when it suits their purposes so I wondering about two things:

1. Did the 2016 models start showing up at dealers in early September last year?

2. Will the 2017 model schedule be similar to the 2016 model schedule as posted by Milhous? If so, I would think I would have to order a factory built unit no later than late April/early May if they quit building the 2016 units by late June.

Any thoughts?
