2016 Trailhawk front suspension struts

This weekend I took my Trailhawk out for a ride in sandy trails and some small hills. I set 4x4 to "Sand/Mud" and it climbed like a billygoat through at times very soft beach-like sand perhaps 12-16" very loose. The one issue I noticed is how the front end bottomed out at relative slow speeds over some dirt mounds. I'm wondering if upgraded front struts are available, adjustable types, likewise for the rear. the stock ones I'm not impressed with. I don't want an ultra stiff street ride but I had adjustable shocks & struts on my 2002 Durango and they worked great. Haven't been able to find any yet for my Trailhawk.

I did not expect to feel the front end bottom out the way it did. In the video look at the front end bottom out when coming to the bottom of the hill in the last half of the video. Also look at the kid on the four wheeler at the beginning.

Hmm would love to see the video. Not sure why it's starts and then goes to a black screen

Hi, I just played it and it worked fine. Try it again. Could be the forum server.

Your bottoming out is not related to a soft suspension or strut setup, its lack of ground clearance. I recently bought a 2016TH and came from a Lifted Compass with 12" of ground clearance, and its very noticeable on the TH that it has less clearance, you aren't going to gain much going with stiffer struts
