Wow retiring the Mango Tango. That's my color so I'm actually glad to have that limited a bit but one of the better selling colors. The HID thing should have been addressed long ago. I upgrade to HID after buying a 2016 as well as bright LEDs in the driving lights. The output from the projection halogens were simply unacceptable.
Yeah same as down here. Iur Trailhawks standard come with pretty much all of that except the memory seat and mirror. For some reason that was discontinued for us. We also get the tow pack standard but no hitch. I should prob say ours have all those options at no choice included rather than standard! In our range the TH is the top of the range by default, we have always even had HID on the TH standard.
Yep, the HID stands for how they work - High Intensity Discharge and the Xenon is the gas used. There used to be a similar set up called Mercury Vapour, as you guessed it, they used mercury as the gas. They were commonly us3d for sporting fields and wharehouses but took ages to warm up to full brightness.
Here in Germany we say xenon lights. They are standard in all cars except small cheap cars. The Cherokee for German marked only has Xenon since launch in 2014.
My total cost of having very bright Xenon HIDs and bright LEDs into the fog lamps was about $400 installed. Of course factory warranty might justify that full purchase price for a 2017.
Is there any info about "flat-tow" capability? [Many of us who tow behind our MH have had the "flet-tow-wiring kit" installed which is supposed to "mitigate wobble", but only for KL's up to a date sometime around March of this year. ] Wondering what change is happening.
Have we heard any updates on the 2017's and when they can be ordered?
A few dealerships in my area have 2017 Latitudes on their lots but when I call to ask them information about the 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk it's like they have no idea what I am talking about.
My dealer has been difficult to work with to order a 2017 Cherokee...not even clear that the Trailhawks are being built yet, and they tell me the Hydro Blue isn't an option.
Anyone know if the Hydro Blue is a late option, and if/when the Trailhawks are being built?
From the info gathered, both Hydro Blue and Diamond Black are going to be late availability for the 2017 model year. Yes the Cherokee Trailhawk is available to order. Invoice is $31449, MSRP is $32190
I shopped for a '17 Trailhawk a few weeks ago and found only Granite, Red, and Rhino paint.
I ended up buying the Rhino on the 12th of Sept from Koons. (6 cyl, towing and other stuff) I've really enjoyed driving it so far, features, handling. I will soon pull a small trailer 600 miles and see how that works out, and then see if the car will go in the sand. No winch on this one. I'll post my findings later.
This is my 4th Jeep and 2nd Cherokee so I'm anxious to compare. I usually take the 2000 Cherokee Limited which floats on the sand.
BTW, I've been following this forum for a bit but this is my first post. There sure is a lot of information and experience here!
