New 2.0L DI "Hurricane" engine- Turbocharged?

What is the horsepower rating?

I have to say I'm disappointed in the 3.2L, it's not as good of an engine as the 3.6L. 3.6 has a flat torque curve, while the 3.2 is peaky. I would consider trading mine in for a turbo-4
Its all in the tuning on the Cherokee, the power output is only slighty down. Either way it will be nice to have a turbo 4 option

Is there any talk about changes to the EPS system for 2019? As many who tow their KL's know, there's a wobble issue which is mitigated by an add-on wiring kit which makes the EPS system active while being flat towed behind a motorhome.

[Maybe I'm the only one who'd like to see a change in the design here, maybe even the ability to add an hydraulic steering damper.]

The refresh is much improved over the current Cherokee. They lowered those driving lights below the grill and turned them into real headlights. On the back end they toned down that large concave apron and put the license plate up higher up making if more visually appealing to me. I wonder if they have made an effort to improve the turn radius? The current Cherokee has a 26.8' turn radius compared to the Grand Cherokee's 17.3' turn radius.

It would be nice if the turning radius was tightened up a bit, but I wonder if the transverse engine/transaxle puts a limit on that.

Guessing Uconnect 8.4 in a 2019 will be compatible with devices used in my 2016. I plan to continue using my iPodnano 6th generation and Doro 626 flip phone via Bluetooth in my 2019. Sent an email to Jeep Product Information Center asking to verify my assumptions about digital device compatibilities in a 2019. (No plans to acquire a smartphone in the foreseeable future.)

I still keep my Motorola Razor. The best looking flip phone imho... but it just sits on display on my desk...

Back to Cherokee... when should we expect to see them on dealer lots?

Re: 2019 Cherokee - What's New - Trailhawk Elite

Yesterday, while exploring Jeep.com for additional info about my ordered 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk, I stumbled across the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite 4x4. Unfortunately, it offers features I thought I was getting with my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 4x4 with Trailer Tow Group and Comfort/Convenience Group packages, net price MSRP $36,105. So I began scrambling to get my order changed to get a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite 4x4 with Technology Group and Trailer Tow Group packages, net price MSRP $39,300. Confident I will negotiate a better price, later.

I been doing some figuring on the new turbo engine vs the 3.2 in hp,tq,price on the gas each as to run. The 3.2 calls for 87 and the turbo will call for 91? and here in CA where i live there is .24 cents between 87 and 91. I drive about 20,000 a yr and with my 3.2 i avg about 23 mpg in intown and freeway. So with the 3.2 v6 it would cost me about $2828 a yr on 87 and the turbo would cost about $2800 a yr on 91 if i could avg 2 mpg better than the v6. Now not knowing the mpg yet on the turbo it seems like a push. The best part is the turbo gets its hp 1400 rpm before the v6 does and the tq at 1400 rpm before the v6 does. Now i likes that lol.
