3.2L Oil Filter

In case anyone is interested thought I would post a photo of the cartridge style oil filter used in the 3.2L( see bottom of post ). There are not many options out there in aftermarket oil filters for this motor( 2.4L uses a regular common spin on ). It is also being used in the 3.6L and this filter is different than 2013 and earlier 3.6L filters. They look the same but are not so don't use one of those earlier filters. As I understand it they fit but cause a low oil pressure issue so be sure you use one of the 2014+ filters.

Here are the filters I have found as of now that are available for the 3.2L...

OEM MOPAR = 68191349AA
Aftermarket MOPAR = M0-349
Wix = WL10010
Purolator Classic = L36296
Fram = CH11665
Champ/LuberFiner = P1009

Many stores don't show a part # at all it is so new. Most of the ones who do have to order it. I was going to have PepBoys order me a couple of the Purolater Classic filters but they wanted $15.99 a filter and I was like NOT! Not for a regular paper filter anyway! I was about ready to give up but checked a small local parts store and they actually had a Wix for $6.75 so I grabbed it.

Hopefully in time we will have options for premium filters for this engine like RP, Mobil1, Purolator Synthetic, Bosch Distance Plus, etc...

Anyway here is the Wix WL10010 filter. Man are they small and skinny...
