My g/f took her 2015 Cherokee Trailhawk in on May 7 to have the re-programming done. After we sat at the dealer for 4 hours, they told us it wasn't taking the flash upgrade. They were going to have to get a transmission to replace hers.
The TH only has 5000 miles on it!!!! They told us it would be 3 or 4 days. We got a call on May 20 from the service guy and he said they hadn't been able to get a transmission in yet and it would probably be after June 1st!!!
In the meantime, she was planning to take her Cherokee on a driving vacation with her daughter. The rental she was put in is a Dodge Avenger that is about 2 years old with over 43000 miles on it. She is fit to be tied and wants another rental similar to her Cherokee. She is supposed to leave on the 27th, but she still hasn't heard back from the service guy about the rental upgrade. Anyone got any suggestions to help her get this squared away before Tuesday? If they had told her this "might" cause the tranny to need replacing, she would have driven out of there and brought it back after her vacation when timing wasn't so critical. The service guy was supposed to call her back after talking to the service manager yesterday, but he never did call back and they are both off today.
Now it's a waiting game to see if they come through before Tuesday.
