Folks who believe that $795 plus yearly subscription fees are worthwhile should go for it. I will stick with my Garmin and invest the money I save.
OK, my point was and still is that you need to look into the uConnect subsystem. If you wanted to get all of your ducks in a row about the new 9 speed transmission are you going to rely on everything you read on Jeep's website? If you do then I would also recommend looking into ZF's website (since they are the manufacturer of the product) for better details.
I linked to the uConnect website before but since you don't want to do any research on your own I will give you in detail exactly what you receive for 795:
-Hands free texting/calling (considering you have a bluetooth phone)
-WEB APPS (Pandora, Yelp, Facebook)
-Traffic updates / gas price updates
-Hands free 3-D navigation
I typically am not a lonely traveller so a bigger screen isn't just a bell or whistle and even though the extras might be, it will make each adventure that much better ("no homo").
I think in the coming years NAV is going to start to be standard on any vehicle $20k+. At that point in time if you decide to sell your jeep you might wish you had it. Also, I would consider the fact that a 5" screen is still a bit large and having a seperate device anywhere on that console would be a bit tacky.
