A couple of questions concerning Cheorkee Latiutude

Good afternoon all,
We just purchased our first Jeep this week. We purchased a 2014 Cherokee Latitude and so far are very happy with it.
I do have a couple of questions I hope I can get answers to here.

1. Does anyone know where I can purchase window vents for my Cherokee? I went by my local Jeep dealer today and was informed they would be about $95.00 for a set plus the cost of installation.

2. My Jeep Cherokee did not come with a tow package and want to know if anyone knows do I have to purchase a hitch and wiring harness thru Dodge/Jeep or can I purchase it anywhere without it voiding the warranty?

Thank you all very much for any and all help.

Re: A couple of questions concerning Cheorkee Latiutude

1. See the thread wind deflectors in the KL forum.

2. I think you would be taking a risk going with anything not dealer installed even if they say otherwise. They are going to blame anything that goes wrong down the road on that third party/aftermarket trailer hitch. The 9 speed transmission is shaky enough without putting any undo strain on it. --- having said that I love my Cherokee Limited.

For an aftermarket hitch install to void anything in your warranty, Jeep would have to show that it actually caused the problem in question. In spite of what is often posted on the internet, "They" are not out to get you.

YMMV on your comment Bill as my experience has been much different.
