Nothing is free. If they are advertising it as something they include, you pay for it somewhere.
As for "how to get the best deal" - just make sure your local dealer shows you the factory invoice and gives you a good deal relative to that. My dealership has a preset discount relative to invoice that we give to every customer. That's not to say that if you need another hundred or two off we can't do it - we want to earn your business - because the guy down the road WILL give you that little discount to steal your business away.
Just remember that buying a car isn't just about price. You have to buy from the guy who you can trust to give you good upfront information now, and will be there for you later on when you need service or have questions. That's the kind of dealer I strive to be every day. The bad dealers make it harder for guys like me to do it well, because people come in the door expecting me to try to squeeze them for every last dollar. Don't deal with places like that, reward the good and honest folks trying to make a living.
