What I meant was if Chrysler priced them that high.

More price speculation taken from Motortrends intro notes:

Pricing has not yet been released, but to give some context, the Liberty 4x2 starts at $24,320 before incentives, climbing to $34,330 for a loaded Limited Jet Edition 4x4. We think a fully-equipped Cherokee Limited V-6 4x4 may crest that total, but we don't see the Cherokee going over $40,000, short of going crazy on dealer-installed Mopar accessories, which we've been assured will be plentiful. Considering a Ford Escape goes for $22,865 for the price-leader S trim; a Honda CR-V starts at around $23,625; and a Subaru Forester goes for $23,820 with an automatic, the starting price on a front-drive, four-cylinder Cherokee will likely start around the $23,000 range. Official pricing will be released closer to the Cherokee's anticipated on-sale date this summer.

I'm still curious if the trailhawk will be cheaper than the limited... I'm a gadget guy and will want as many as I can get on a trailhawk, but not at $40k.

Re: Ordering my TRAILHAWK

Let's keep em crossed.

On my Trail Hawk I'd like;

3.2V6
White or Silver with Hood Decal
Solid Roof
8.4 Unconnect DVD/CD with best speakers available
Full leather heated and cooled seats
Hitch

The 8.4 head unit comes with the Trailhawk does it not? I think it is standard equipment with the TH.

We would have similar wants although I would not want the Trailhawk as I don't want/need the off road inspired aspect. The regular 4WD system for me is all I want/need.

I would look at a Latitude 4WD( ADI )but I too would like the 3.2L V6, 8.4" Unconnect DVD/CD( Nav as well )with the premium sound speakers, and a hitch. My Patriot is the 1st vehicle with heated seats and while I don't use them my 88 year old Dad loves them so I would like that too. Probably would want the blue or tan.

I am really curious just what the pricing will end up being?

I haven't seen where they specifiy speaker options for the Cherokee. All I have seen is the following on page 5 of the brochure( bottom right under Advanced Technology )...

alpinepremium audio system, available

That is all it says. No mention of what that includes as far as amps, speaker numbers, a sub woofer, etc...???

Re: Ordering my TRAILHAWK

If the Alpine system is a carry over from other models here are the specs from the Uconnect website:

A leader in car audio, Alpine has designed a premium sound system to support your Uconnect and match your vehicles acoustics. The Alpine system has a 7.1 sound system powering nine speakers.
  • Three 3.5-inch dash-mounted speakers
  • Two 6x9-inch speakers in front doors
  • Two 3.5-inch rear door
  • Two 6x9-inch speakers in rear deck
  • One 8-inch "infinite battle" subwoofer in rear deck
  • 12-channel amplifier

Re: Ordering my TRAILHAWK

Same optional system in the Dart and Charger.

Sounds good. If you want to hear it, try out those two cars. I love my Alpine system. Don't see any need ever to replace it.

Re: Ordering my TRAILHAWK

Just a few days to go until ordering my Cherokee and I must exist I'm excited and nervous with anticipation over working a decent deal.

I've got a question or two based on a issue that will likely seem silly to most but I'll ask it anyway. Is the dealership required to drive a new vehicle when they come off the truck to do some sort of inspection? Or for that matter is there something they must do to them in the service department after getting them off of the truck? I ask because I want a true virgin vehicle. I know that mine will likely be the first or one of the first that any the dealers in my part of the country have seen which might lead to some " heavy petting" so to speak. I'd like to cut that off if possible.
