But you also have to go to settings were you have a choice of having the wheel and driver's seat come on at start up - three options - OFF, Remote startup or both. I've set ours to both several times and it has not held the setting. Kind reminds me of my 2012 T&C when the 720N wouldn't hold the radio settings and the contacts list - a REAL PITA. It had to have the software updated and now has worked ok for the past year.

They popped a CD or the update. Now, no CD player (only left out the CD player and extra speakers) so how they do the update - probably USB drive.

I just tried a different order to set the seat and wheel and will be interested to get DW's report if she goes out later today.

You are saying you set the checkbox to both and it reverts to none checked?

Exactly. Gets annoying. But this last time after I set it again I hit the setting wheels iron in the lower right and then went back and checked, and it stayed. Now have fingers crossed that it is an order of action thing.

Think I'll go and check now (in my house coat still - going to hit the shower shortly and the go to the Windsor Casino - play the slots for a while, then have dinner and THEN take in the STYX concert - which I've wanted to do for years.)

Ah, still set and on startup the screen indicated they were on. Then screen went to the music from the USB thumb drive BUT in the upper right hand corner of the screen were two icons - a seat with the red heat lies through it and a steering wheel with heat lines. Very nice to know they are on. Hopefully it will continue working properly.

the initial disclaimer screen should come on everytime you start the car and have those icons to select, but its only on briefly, aotherwise you just go into controls or climate to turn on
Makes sense. Thanks. Where did you get the information?

Re: A year in my TRAILHAWK

Dear Wife just to do some shopping. When she returns I'll suspect I'll hear about it again.

It was 43 deg F in the garage and 36 outside.

I can understand the system not turning on the wheel and seat heat at oboe 40 degrees (she would probably argue that is too low and it should be 50 def F) but it should not cancel the settings.

When she returns I'm going to check them. If they are still on - no problem. If they are off again, then IMO the programming is faulty.

My wife had the opposite problem in her grand. It would turn on the auto comfort automatically after every key cycle. They reset something and it fixed the issue. That was last april and she hasn't had a problem since.

Re: A year in my TRAILHAWK

Well, she returned and was happy with the way it worked - but it stayed on. She didn't appreciate my comment when I pointed out that she simply hits the climate button and turns off the heated wheel and seats when it is warm enough. She seem to think they should go off automatically.

She wanted me to explain the instrument panel options again but within minutes the huge number of features turned her off and she left. We will review all the features while driving to Florida - she will sit with the manual while I'm driving and we will try everything.

When scrolling through the settings it spit out a low battery voltage warning. I checked it with my multimeter and sure enough - 12.35. Now I'm wondering if we have to get the dealer to replace the battery before we head to Florida with it in a week. Or, is the alternator not working properly. Think I'd better check the voltage with the engine running. Voltage to battery was over 14. Will now keep an eye on the battery voltage DW had a problem with the interior centre lights and found them difficult to turn off. That may have caused some drainage.

At a little over 2000 miles I'm still in awe of my TrailHawk. Hands down the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Just over 2k in Trailhawk. And everytime I drove it I feel like it was a car built exactly for me and what I want/need out of an SUV.

It's a phenomenally well thought out and balanced vehicle.

I haven't yet found anything that annoys me or disappoints me about it.

Well Done Toledo!

Re: A year in my TRAILHAWK

We just put 1225 miles on our Limited over the weekend travelling to FLA.

Great vehicle, no question. Had fun with the Lane Sense feature. Really like it and wish I had it on my motorhome.

MPG started out terrible but improved with every tank. The computer exaggerates a bit of course. Best full tank showed 28.1 (all I-75 driving) and manual calculation (subject to fill variation of course) was 26.9 - which I was very pleased with. From the last fill to our home in FLA was 104 miles and it indicated 29.2 on arrival. If the overstatement is similar I'll be very happy with 28.

Power with the V6 was highly adequate. The 9 speed is learning. First tank was not good and often in 7th (but wind may have influenced that) and by second tank it was getting into 8th and very rarely into 9th.

Love the sunroof - had it open most of the trip.

Our Ltd was flashed last week for 3 different problems. Prior to flash a SDHC card worked well. Now it won't read the card (which works in my computer) but we have all 6400+ on a USB drive and it worked well.

It is going to take a while to stumble on and figure out all of the features as they seem endless. If it tows well behind our motorhome we'll be extremely pleased.

No regrets at this point.
