Re: aFePOWER Pro Dry S Air Filter Install Video!

In an industry where every 0.1 mpg increase gives the manufacturer better brownie points with the gov it amazes me that people still think that if a simple air filter element change will make a difference then why would the manufacturer not have already done so.

Instead they spend tens of thousands investigating and designing stop start systems...

I have not yet seen a dyno result that showed positive power improvements below 6000 rpm. In fact all the one I have seen for the Cherokee show power loss below 5000rpm. And if you drive foot to the floor once to hear this 'subtle change in engine sound' (that I didn't hear) then you would have another 500miles of driving to catch up on any elusive fuel economy improvements.

Save your money.

Manufactures don't want to spend a penny more on parts! They surely won't pay double for an air filter! And I said it increases throttle response, basically feels little more responsive.

Yeah I beg to differ. If a double the price air filter element made that much difference it would have been much cheaper than building a stop start system that hardly anyone uses.
