Have 1,000 miles on our new '14 Cherokee Ltd, V6 4x4, all options. I'll need to get to a dealer on this, and picked it up this way, regrettably. Anyone have an issue with air blend door not directing heat/air to the foot well area? It directs to def and middle vents, just not the floor at all. Don't know if this is an air door actuaator issue or something the air blend door is catching on. Also, when the climate control temperature is adjusted manually, not on Auto Temp control, it blows exceedingly hot air, rather than at the selected temperature.
Thanks
Tks for replying. When it's set for face and feet, only the face directed air comes out. The floor air component sounds like it's just blowing inside/behind the dash, and not out into the footwell area as it should. I've had the vehicle for a month, and it was like this straight from the dealer.. so much for quality pre delivery inspection.. easy to miss this I guess.
Hi.....I am now running into this issue also. I had the vehicle last winter and I had heat being directed to the floor and this winter my feet are freezing. Earlier this fall when using the vent or air conditioning ( I don't recall ) I had what sounded like a leaf or something was stuck in the vent and flapping. Heard a loud snap one day and didn't think much about it but noticed the flapping went away.......but now since it's cold I've noticed there is just a slight air flow to the floor area. I have normal air flow in all the other settings but when it comes to switching it to the floor it sounds trapped behind the dash. The dealer said that there is nothing wrong and that all is normal! Are there any new findings on this issue??? 2014 Trailhawk......love it but I don't want to keep wearing boots when I drive it. . (I don't have the high heat issue.)
