Air Blend Door issue (no heat to footwell area), and very high interior heat temps

Have 1,000 miles on our new '14 Cherokee Ltd, V6 4x4, all options. I'll need to get to a dealer on this, and picked it up this way, regrettably. Anyone have an issue with air blend door not directing heat/air to the foot well area? It directs to def and middle vents, just not the floor at all. Don't know if this is an air door actuaator issue or something the air blend door is catching on. Also, when the climate control temperature is adjusted manually, not on Auto Temp control, it blows exceedingly hot air, rather than at the selected temperature.
Thanks

When you have the air directed at your face and feet can you feel anything as opposed to just directing the air toward the feet?

Tks for replying. When it's set for face and feet, only the face directed air comes out. The floor air component sounds like it's just blowing inside/behind the dash, and not out into the footwell area as it should. I've had the vehicle for a month, and it was like this straight from the dealer.. so much for quality pre delivery inspection.. easy to miss this I guess.

I'm surprised more of this hasn't been mentioned in any our threads.
