Array is right on target with reasons that this is a great vehicle to use as a Toad.
I have a 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk and I installed Blue Ox base plates in May of last year. I then went on over than a 3,000 mile vacation with my RV and toad and it did really well. I have Blue Ox Aventa LX tow bar and I never noticed any problems with tight turns. When I got the tow bar, I don't think the issue with the tight turns was known so I am so glad that I had gotten the Aventa LX.
I use the Blue Ox Patriot BK2010 brake controller which works well.
This toad is really easy to hook up and to unhook and tows like a dream. I have been very, very pleased with towing. Plus we were able to drive some Jeep trails in Colorado and Utah while on vacation so it is very versatile with good gas mileage too.
Check this post for some good information on installing Blue Ox base plates and also if you were to use different base plates. I have some information and pics there on my installation.
