To be honest, I really didn't take the time to get the seats fully adjusted. In one of the videos that is uploading, you'll see why I was in such a hurry to get driving.

I'm about 6', 200lbs and fairly broad shouldered, with "farmer's hips" as my wife calls them - think like Barry Sanders - not near your specs, though. I was in a CRV, an Escape, Rav-4, and 3 different Cherokees. My personal feelings are that the CRV "felt" like it had the most room, but only because the Cherokee kind of wrapped around me. Not that the seat bolsters were in my sides, just that the controls and steering wheel seemed to be perfectly positioned like a cockpit.

I wish my internet connection was faster...I live in the sticks and have wireless internet or dial-up as my choices. There are a few ready to go, but I'll have to put them in order and edit them real quick. Maybe about 8 or so the first batch will be up.
I am also interested to hear how the fit was for the "big" guy. I can't wait to sit in one to see if I can be comfortable. We have the Seattle Auto Show coming up in a week so I am hopeful they will have one that I can get in. Or will it just be on a pedestal and not accessible?

I have been in an Escape and CRV and am not very comfortable. There is enough leg room but it seems like my knees rest uncormfortably against the center stack or the door and just nothing I could deal with if I owned one.

I will probably look at a Grand Cherokee if the Cherokee doesn't pan out.
The leg room in the back seat is okay, but would be nice if it was a bit more, at least with my front seat all the way back.

Thanks for the information... just joined the site today.

Both the 6 footer's from our dealership said they had leg & head room. One was slightly wider than the other, prolly weighs 260-270, said he felt slightly snug, but not uncomfortable...but both agreed much better than Escape & Crv, as well as Rav4, which we drove all 4. The Cherokee has considerable travel for sliding the driver's seat back, but it puts the seatback right up against the second row.

As far as the Grand, the more stout of the 2 did have a Grand, and traded for a Durango. He was very comfortable in the 2013, but the 2014 is a different animal. He is still comfortable, though.

Congrats. Hopefully they will ship soon and you won't have to wait too much longer.

Don't get to excited. Mine has been in "final inspection" for a month.

Yes, however hundreds are moving each day now, it will not take long for the backlog to clear.

Happiness will ensue for me when I can go to a dealer and drive one for myself so I can make a truly informed decision.

This text here because a post with only smileys doesn't count apparently.
