can i add on extras after I purchase the Cherokee trailhawk?

just wondering since this is my first new vehicle. The 2014 jeep Cherokee trail hawk. Some of the package options I could not afford at the time I had it built. Can I get these options added on after the fact for example the visor with the garage opener in ?
I would be nice if a could just set temperature to a value instead of adjusting the temp all the time, is there something for that as well?

Generally the answer is no.
But anything can be done for a price, most likely cost prohibitive price.
That is one of the reasons I squeeze what I want into the budget.
On mine I left the sunroof and amplified speakers off so I could swing the full Tech group on my 2014 Limited.
Basically you got a Trail hawk which is an upgrade over the Limited. You got stuff I wish I had, like tow hooks. I guess if we all had unlimited budgets buying a new car would be easy. But we all have to compromise.
Enjoy that Trail Hawk......................

Depends on what you consider upgrade, base price of the Limited is higher. Trailhawk has off road options where the Limited has tech and luxury options, each not all available on the other.

It is likely *possible* things outside of the drivetrain could be added. but the problem is that you're looking at some pretty pricey work. The visor with the Homelink would require the wiring to power it since I assume it's an entire package that is installed during the build. The hard part would be securing parts and finding a shop (Dealership or independent) that would have the knowledge and the inclination to install them for you. If you want to do it yourself it would be less expensive but more hazardous.

Which options/packages were you looking to get?

Actually you are wrong as to which Cherokee model is the top of the line. The Limited can be the most expensive model and has luxury options not available on the TrailHawk. Chrysler plays games with this on their website saying one is the the top model one week and changing that the next week. But all in all a Limited can be much more expensive than a TrailHawk and optioned out much more heavily. The problem is the two models serve different purposes and appeal to different groups. I had my Limited built to cross the lines of both trim levels. I have the luxury options of the Limited trim and the offroad suspension/lift of the AD II group.

You have to be careful as some people state things that are not accurate. The Trail Hawk is the top of the line and the most expensive model. You can go on the jeep web site and build one and it will clearly be evident. I ordered a 2015 Trail Hawk with every option ,Including the cold weather group.(ALL BOXES CHECKED) THE MSRP ON THE FACTORY WINDOW STICKER WAS 43,673.00 You cannot option out a Limited to that price. The only thing on the limited that the trail hawk does not have are a charging pad, Who needs it. Different Headlights and a couple other worthless items. Give me a locking differential Skid plates and tow hooks over the limited anytime. Also if you read the forums the guys with the Limited are always trying to add things to be like the Trail hawk never a Trail hawk down to a limited trim. Just saying.

You may be right about a 2015 vehicle as I haven't checked. I did just what you did on my 2014 Limited and the Limited was clearly the more expensive vehicle. I have no desire to make my Limited like a TrailHawk as I think the front end of the TrailHawk looks hideous. Truthfully there were two reasons why I didn't buy a TrailHawk. The first is I don't like the looks of the front end and the second is that all of the luxury options were not available on the 2014 TrailHawk that were offered on the 2014 Limited. With the AD II option on my Limited it really is not that much different than the TrailHawk with the exception of skid plates. I am not interested in carrying around that extra weight as I have no plans to go off roading. Price was not really an object for me as I had my mother's Chrysler retired employee discount so I could have bought either trim level at a discount. It was just that the TrailHawk didn't offer me what I wanted. You have to remember that a lot of the options available on the 2015 TrailHawk were not available on the 2014 TrailHawk.

MACFAN I'm also right about the 2014 Model. I just went on the official Jeep website and you can still build the 2014 models. All options on the limited come to an MSRP of 39,805 The Trail Hawk totals MSRP of 40,590.
Go on the web site and build them for yourself. Just saying.

I am not sure what kind of math you are using but my sticker on my Limited was over $39,805 and I don't have all of the options, so we are going to have to agree to disagree.

And BTW I did do this several times for the 2014 models. Something is wrong with your math someplace. I do know the Jeep website is not the most reliable thing to use so perhaps that is your problem. For the 2014 model year the TrailHawk did not offer nearly as many options as the Limited so that in itself would make the Limited more expensive.

Its not a math issue. Simply go on the official jeep web site and build it out for your self. Put all the options on both models and see for yourself. The math is done by the jeep website. I notice on this site you seem to argue with everyone that does not agree with you. Facts are facts learn to be open minded and stop fighting reality.

Gee, I guess my window sticker is wrong then. Also, my Milous build sheet must be wrong too. Can't get much more reality than those two things. Like I said we are going to have to agree to disagree.

I am glad you like your TrailHawk as I like my Limited. My Limited was one year old on the 13th of this month. So far it has been perfect and I have not had one TSB done to it. Like I said I could have gotten a TrailHawk but I do not like the looks of the front end (the way it is cut back) and I could not get the options I wanted on it. I do agree the TrailHawk now offers options it did not in 2014. Cost on either model was not an issue as I had my mother's Chrysler discount. BTW, I just doubled checked my window sticker and it was just a few dollars short of $40,000 and I did not order the tech package. So something is wrong someplace with the figures you came up with.

This is my last reply to you. We both are convinced we are right and we are not going to change each others opinions. To continue this would be pointless.

Re: can i add on extras after I purchase the Cherokee trailhawk?

Way to take the thread OT people. Does it honestly REALLY matter which model is "top of the line"? Take it to PMs please so that @ckelly0731 can get her answers without the bickering.
