Carpet Mats

Anxiously waiting on my Trailhawk here. Have a question about the mats. I know the Trailhawk comes with rubber mats (which makes sense), but I'd also like to have a set of carpet mats (as the Jeep is also going to be my daily driver). Does Jeep have carpeted mats for Trailhawk, or does anyone know if they'll be available from Mopar Parts?

Re: Carpet Mats

You can buy std carpet mats via mopar or a mopar dealer, as well as a carpet cargo mat.

Re: Carpet Mats

Check ebay, have seen a lot on there. I also bought a cargo carpet mat off there.

Okay...I looked at eBay and there are indeed a bunch of OEM ones. Before I order though, I'll talk to the dealership and see if I can finangle a set as part of the deal when the Jeep arrives.

Right now I'm trying to decide whether or not I should upgrade to the black wheels.

Re: Carpet Mats

I'm older, so I'm not the complete blackout fan some people are. I like them on the Red, White and Mango. All the rest I like the stock.

But with a new TH, you can't go wrong.

Enjoy.

My real concern is whether in person they'll look as good as in photos with the blue plus the longevity. Is it just a paint they put on them? I live in the desert where rocks and pebbles are thrown all over the highway daily and if they would get dinged up really bad it wouldn't be worth it. Have never had black wheels and don't know much about them.

Re: Carpet Mats

I still haven't seen another TH on the road, much less one with the black wheels in person.

Check with your dealer, if they are powder-coated they should hold up better than if they are just a paint finish. I'm not sure of the details on these.

Re: Carpet Mats

Not a fan either, and I'm younger...friends started blacking out wheels when I was in high school in the late 90's and its gotten more and more popular in recent yewars. I would think they should be plenty durable and are probably powdercoated, the only thing I think should hold you back is if you like them or not.

Re: Carpet Mats

I love how I took my own thread off-topic...lol. In any case, I emailed Chrysler Customer Service to get details on them and the response I received was a bit confusing. He refers me to the dealer (of course) but says "it appears that the black rims with the highlighted metal accents are the standard on the Trailhawk".

I can't figure what he's talking about but I assume he means the black and silver rims which seems to be what everyone is getting.

The Jeep.ca build and price tool has them listed as an option at I think 595.00 extra. I suppose if I just have to have them I can always add them later, or maybe get aftermarket. I'll email my dealer and just see what he says.

IMO I think the look of the OEM wheels (two tone) on the trailhawk look great. If I was going with the black out rims I would spend the extra money and get some rockstars.

Re: Carpet Mats

Well I have a TH on order in Anvil with the Black Wheels, I hope they look great. I was really hoping most people would not order so my vehicle was a little unique. I hope to post some pics in about 6 more weeks.

It will look great! And being an option, you won't see near as many I bet.
