Driver seat discomfort

hi everyone!

Finally decided on a JEEP CHEROKEE-LATITUDE after several weeks of considering other SUV makes.

Ive had it for a week and i am generally happy with it. One thing that i have found odd and a bit of a discomfort is when i get-off the car.

My left leg, part close to the hip seems to sit uncomfortably on the HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT lever.

I am just thinking this just takes getting used to OR the driver seat is just too soft that my butt just sinks way down that when i swing my leg to get out of the car, my leg sits on top of the HEIGHT ADJUSTER.

Has anyone had this issue/discomfort? Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Im just afraid i may either knock the height adjuster off or bruise my leg especially when i get off the car in a rush.

Thank you for the inputs guys....

Re: Driver seat discomfort

I hate to say it but this is one of those things where really all you can do is experiment with and learn a different way to enter/exit the vehicle.

Driver seat discomfort

Will installing step/running boards help?

My previous vehicle was a Toyota matrix which sets lower and was what i was driving for the last 11 years

Re: Driver seat discomfort

Im 6'1" and have a back injury and i have no problems getting in or out of my trailhawk UNLESS the wife for gets to lower the seat all the way down and back. As far as comfort the seats seem to be just as comfortable as my srt8 seats were.

I understand the problem now.
I do snag on my wife's manual seats (the lever) on her Chev. Cavalier at times. Not a great feeling. I am a bit wider than I was when we bought it 10 years ago.
Maybe you can change the direction of how it is situated, though I am not sure how it connects.
I have had power seats on my last 2 vehicles so that nasty lever has not been an issue on my vehicle.

Re: Driver seat discomfort

Omg I have the manual cloth seat in my 2014 KL Latitude (ADII). I think something is wrong . I think somehow a strap that secures the seat cover to the actual seat frame got snagged by the manual handle in mine. The seat feels lopsided and makes a lot of noise. I am only 180lbs do I don't think my weight would have broken the seating. Not sure what to do .... Would this even be covered under warranty?
