Factory orders

Do individual factory orders receive any special/better attention during the build process than general dealership orders?

Re: Factory orders

The build sheet of my KL says, the car had status "sold vehicle". No idea, what it was good for, but I'm sure, they will not write it down just for fun.

Re: Factory orders

Yes, I just got my build sheet today, and it also says "Sold Vehicle." Why would they care if it's already been sold unless they were going to do something with that info?

It would be nice, although I don't see how, if we could make a comparison regarding vehicle problems between off-the-lot purchases and factory orders.

No, but they may take some priority in getting them scheduled. You may have also noticed the window sticker says it was built just for you.

Re: Factory orders

The customer orders get priority over dealer stock orders. That's it.

And apparently our name on the sticker. That's something! :-)

Re: Factory orders

Your name on the window sticker is pretty cool. I've custom ordered cars from other manufacturers and this is the first I've ever seen that.

Because once they are shipped to a dealer they are available on Jeep.com search to prospective customers at particular dealers. The Sold puts the vehicle outside the search and thus not available.
Dealers can tell what vehicles are coming at a future date and thus can be reserved by customer. A sold is a block on this.

I'm not sure if this is true I ordered mine and it started showing up on my dealer's site and on Jeep.com as in transit. No mention was made on either site of the vehicle already being sold

My ordered Summit showed up in the search from the time it went 'in transit' until the day after I took delivery. The Window Sticker did have my name on it.
