GARAGE FLOOR mats for the Cherokee

Well, according to the calendar winter is over and spring is upon us. Like most areas of the country Michigan has seen its share of cold, snow and ice. As a result, my garage floor is a mess...especially full of salt thanks to Michigan's "love affair" with that "stuff".

Now, I have the annual task of cleaning the garage floor. The hard part is removing the salt stains/foaming out of the concrete. Does anyone have any suggestions on removing the salt????

I am tired of doing this every year and the salt is starting to lightly pit the concrete so my main question is:

Has anyone used GARAGE FLOOR MATS under their Cherokee? If so, what make? and size works the best?

I know there are paints/sealers however, I have heard more cons than pros about that method. Any information and opinions are appreciated.

Thanks, and happy spring to all.

Re: GARAGE FLOOR mats for the Cherokee

Hire someone to do a good epoxy floor coating......you'll be glad you did. Not sure what cons you've heard, but if well done they last for decades and are easy to clean up. It's a DIY project IF you pay attention to the prep work and don't mind the smell/annoyance of the acid prep stage.

Go for it!!!
