So I took a snap shot of the video where he shows exactly what bulbs he used from Putco for the headlights and fogs. Can't find the fogs anywhere on Amzon or ebay except 6000k. Called Putco direct and they don't even have a listing for a 15/16 Cherokee halogen fog light replacement bulb...lol
I guess I'll wait...

I bought them from KBcarstuff. The picture they show shows 6000K in error. The Nitro Blue are 4400K. Also Mirror White is a good choice at 4000K but they didn't have the fog lights to match in that color. You do have to trim one of the small tabs on the fog bulb to have them fit which is very easy to do.

Ok, so the Putco 9005 4400k Nitro bulbs are in. Looks great, like 1000x better than stock. Not too much brighter tho but I usually drive with the DRLs and the fog lights on anyway. Being in NYC it's not like you need super bright headlights to see the road, it s pretty well lite from street lights. As long as others see me coming that's what counts. Cheap mod for a great look. Thank you OP for the video and info.

Your Jeep looks great!

I have just bought a trailhawk 16 and definitely need some upgrade on lights and fog. I live in Canada, in the country. I would like the Putco, as white and bright as possible, can someone recommend the Putco # I need, and parts number please? Also do I need something special to bypass error message at startup, or those light replacement does not give any error messages?

Thanks in advance

Thanks! I went with Nitro Blue because the headlights & fogs were both available in that color. Mirror White for the headlights would probably be the brightest. But both of these are more of a color change not an output increase. No errors since these are halogen replacements.

Like Jeep mentioned the Nitro Blue 4400k matches the color of the DRL's perfectly. I went with the Ion Spark White 3800k for the fogs, they are a little more "white" and brighter than the Nitro Blue color.

Here is a pic of the exact bulbs I used. Just type the description in Amazon and you'll see them.
Also like Jeep mentioned you need to trim 1 of the tabs on the fog bulb only, very easy once you see it.
The left side is the headlight bulb 9005
Right side is the fog 9009

The head light 9005 looks correct. The fog light which shows as h16 doesn't say it's a 9009 bulb so im not sure. If you look at my picture I posted above in this thread the box it came in says h16/9009.

2016 TH uses a 9005 HL bulb which is different from a 15. Now are the Canadian TH the same as American ones that I can't say. The worse thing that can happen if the bulb is wrong is you send it back. I orderd the wrong ones too (ones from Jeeps video) but though Amzon so returning them was no biggie. I didn't even open the package, as soon as I removed my bulb I knew it was wrong.
Hope this helps:thumbsup:

I had the Putco mirror whites for about four months. While it was a whiter light, and matched the DRL's perfectly, I found the output was no significant difference. I swapped out for Xenon Depot LED's, and they matched the DRLs (see my avatar), and offered a slight improvement in output, especially lighting up the sides of the road. I am now considering going for the Xenon Depot plug and play HID kit, as they seem to be the best aftermarket option right now to maximize output and increased visibility.

I really wish people would read the whole thread from the beginning....straight from Xenon depo Web page. PLEASE READ THIS!!!

JEEP CHEROKEE (KL) FORWARD LIGHTING INFORMATION
2016 JEEP CHEROKEE (KL) LIGHTING
While not much may have changed from an aesthetic standpoint between the 2015 Jeep Cherokee, and the 2016 Jeep Cherokee, Jeep decided to change at least two things relating to the headlights. The first thing that changed is that the 2016 Jeep Cherokee now uses a 9005 halogen bulb, which means that you would need to order a 9005 HID kit if you wanted to upgrade the lights to HID. The second thing that changed is that a standard resistor is not going to be sufficient to ensure the HID kit functions properly. You have to select the "2015+ Mopar" option in order to ensure that the lights function properly. Without choosing this option, you will not get all the necessary components to ensure the lights function right. Just like before, if you've got a 2016 Jeep Cherokee and you are looking for the brightest possible output, we strongly suggest going with a 4300k 9005 HID kit; as the higher kelvin kits simply produce more color, but less useable light
