that has to be the ugliest thing ever designed in the automotive industry...
i find it ironic how the original cherokee was considered the nicest looking suv then and now, considering its basic shape and sharp edges, to one of the ugliest designs.
Didn't we recently go through this with the WK2? It was ugly, people hated the headlights, then the tails, no bs moldings? What is Jeep thinking, everyone had a gripe. Now it's baddass, jeep has a winner with the wk2, blah blah blah.
By the time this hits dealer lots everyone will be wanting to replace their current POS with it.
And no I didn't mean to hit the thanks button on the above post.....oops.....damn iPad!
According to Chrysler and the forums in allpar, this is not exactly the Liberty replacement, which will be unveiled next month. Hopefully they've tweaked the front end alot for production because this thing looks horrid.
Not since the original Compass have I immediately wondered what the midcycle refresh would look like. Really sad because my next Jeep was either going to be this or an older Grand Cherokee.
It has a very futuristic look to it. Like something out of Halo. I still think the front is ugly though.
What I'm curious to find out is what sort of chassis, suspension, powertrain it has.
I already see an issue with a weak suspension which I've seen on other car based suvs (Hyundai, Kia, BMW for example). Check out the rear wheel on this shot, it's already angled which is a sign of a weak, car based, suspension. Ugh!
