Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

I've got a 2015 Limited with ADII and 28400 miles. No problems what so ever. Yes, it has been back for the software upgrades without issue. Yes, if it were stolen or totaled today I'd buy another one.

Just my $.02 worth

Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

I have a 2014 TH with 34,000 miles on it and have had zero issues and never been back to the dealer except for software updates. Wife has a 2014 GC with 39,000 miles and that vehicle has never been back to the dealer either. Son in law has a 2014 GC as well with 18,000 miles and not one single issue. The three cars do what they are suppose to do and have been very reliable. What more is there to be said?

Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

I love jeepgarage.org especially when I had my 2011 WK2. But when changing over to a 2016 Cherokee TH, I've found that jeepcheroiee.com seems to have far more information. The KL group may seem to feel a bit more ostracized from this group, which is too bad. On the Cherokee website if they get a stray WK2, they almost always refer the new owner to this site. The jeepcherokee.com site is run out of Canada but has loads of Yanks and members from all over.

You might give them a look too.

Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

For us, we've enjoyed two and a half years of trouble-free motoring from our '15 KL Limited (V6) :-)

It's in for repairs now, but that has nothing to do with mechanical issues; we were in a fender-bender last week :-(

Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

I've had my 2016 TH for 17 months. No issues. I did have to replace a windshield recently but no fault of FCA. My TH has had less issues than my WK2. To be fair the WK2 road sensor and HVAC issue were replaced under service contract. $100 out of pocket. However poor design of the HVAC blower required annual replacing. Another $100/per. I loved the WK2 but love the TH for so many different reasons. The one thing I hate is electronic steering assist. But that's the future of all vehicles.

Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

i had a 14 cherokee trailhawk that was one of the very first built. had it for almost 3 years and 30k miles and it was never back to dealer. just oli/filter changes. and tire rotations. that being said it did scare me hearing all the problems. id have to think by now the bugs better be worked out as its almost thru the 4th model year.

2014 Limited V6 ADI, 39,000 miles, coming off three year lease. A few issues, sunroof noise that was fixed (had sunroof issues in ever car I ever had, most of which before my Jeep were foreign built), wobble that was fixed. Always dependable, always started, smooth shifting, never a problem on the road. Just ordered a 2017 V6 with ADII and most options (NO sunroof :-)) Does that answer your question?

Re: How Confident are you with your Jeep?

I too opted not to get the panoramic moonroof on the TH. I had no troubles with it in the WK2, but rarely used it. With such high salt Winters, it was just another weak spot for corrosion which on roofs almost no carmakers warranty rust issues.

I'm also tall not that the moon roofs take up too much room on the Jeeps like they do in so many other vehicles.

My wife and daughter drive CR-Vs. I don't enjoy driving them or really riding in them. I do maintain them as well. For most Winters they are just fine in road but we have had to pull both out with Jeeps in past Winters with heavy snowfalls.
