Looks good and great instructions for a non OEM install. The brake controller is a good idea only in the fact it will put a lot less stress on the brakes/wear.

Have fun with that new pop up.

In your original post, your picture of the brake switch and the wiring harness to it shows what appears to be a black wire going toward the harness and a red wire going to an off-white connector of some type. Please tell me which wire attaches to the green-on-green wire, and how did you attach it? (solder, crimp-on connector, etc.)

Also, much has been said about the possible ill-effects of tapping into the 'cold' wire. From your subsequent posts, it doesn't appear that you've had any repercussions or trouble codes, and all works as it's supposed to work.

An the install looks great!

The black wire going to the harness is the power supply for the controller.

I hooked up to the brake wire via a clamp on connector that came with my Etrailer universal brake controller harness. I can take more pictures of all the wiring this evening.

And there has not been any issues whatsoever with check engine lights nor braking. It's not taking any power from the brake line. It just senses when it's active. The power comes from a straight 10gauge wire to the battery.
