Maybe you need to ease the pedal down instead of trying to be first off the line. Just an observation from the limited information available.

I've tried a first off the line a few times where my lane was disappearing ahead after the intersection with the light. Reasonably impressed with the acceleration. It is supposed to be 6.7 seconds to 60 but I sure would not want to drive in the manner needed to achieve the 6.7 - well only rarely.

Thanks, Granddriver....That is what I will be getting. It is reassuring me. Now, if it would just get here! On the upside, I have only looked at the site at the start and end of my workday for updates. Waiting is hard.

I'm lite on the pedal but it's that first and second gear. It just kicks in too hard. Maybe becaus I have the Hawk and it's so much heavier

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

I just got my Cherokee Traail Hawk 2 days ago and I am currently averaging about 16.4mpg. Mostly only been driving to and from work which is about 50/50 driving on normal roads and highways. I'm lucky if I see a steady 22mpg while holding a constant speed on the highways.

I am thinking that after the break in period it should get better. I keep telling myself, the waiting will put all this winter mileage on my old car. (Anything to give me patience)

For those of you with v6 hawks. Do you feel the transmission is very jumpy?
