Not bad for a V8
It can get even better then that with the 2014 5.7, set the cruise control at 65mph on the highway with MDS kicked in and I can get 25 mpg and that is calculated at the pump not EVIC though I have found the EVIC to be surprisingly accurate and within .5 mpg. City only mileage well that is another story but very impressed with the highway mileage on the 5.7

Different vehicle, this is for the Cherokee, not Grand.

The transmission did smooth out over time on our Trailhawk with the V-6.

Yeah, I find the transmission to be pretty jumpy in the first 3 gears or so. I currently only have about 550 miles on mine. I've been playing around with accelerating lightly and accelerating quickly off the line to see if that helps at all. So far it doesn't really make a difference unless I have it in Sport mode. Still averaging about 16.4 or 16.5 mpg. Although if I take longer trips down the expressway then I manage to get a higher rating. I've had it to nearly 18 before my normal commute driving brought it back down. It's a hard pill to swallow getting only a little over 200 miles per tank after I was getting 400 in my Dart.

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

Mines not been a problem at all so far. Very smooth and sweet. But obviously there are plenty out there that are having shifting issues.

I'm getting app. 19 to 19.5 with the v6. 75-80% around town. A few short freeway jaunts. I'm at 1350 miles.

Cold here for us, but nowhere near as cold as you are having it.

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

Latitude 3.2L ADI

Very happy with the MPG so far. Has actually been better than I expected and today I beat out the Patriot for MPG on a trip I take a lot which really surprised me.

My results so far( only 3 fills but FWIW )...

Tank 1:
EVIC - 21.6
Actual - 22.2

Tank 2( mostly city and a lot of idling while cleaing up after 2 snow storms ):
EVIC - 19.0
Actual - 18.7

Tank 3:
EVIC - 25.6
Actual - 26.68

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

Those aren't bad numbers especially the last set. I am tempted to think that EVIC is actually pretty accurate because the numbers are close and Actual doesn't take into account fill variances (unless you used the same exact pump with the truck facing the same direction and at the same time of day). I think you might be getting higher or lower numbers with your actual then you are "actually" getting.

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

I have a V6 hawk and I get between 17-19mpg city (average) (depending on how I drive) and up to 26mpg (average mpg on a whole road trip tank).

I'm at 4500 miles too and my tranny still jumps between gears.

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

I have the Cherokee Trailhawk with the 3.2 V6 with about 450 miles on it.

I was extremely disappointed in the mpg the first two tanks but when I really looked at what kind of driving and how much warm up time it ran, I should be happy with the 16-17 mpg I got. It is winter in MN and it's been freaking cold!

We took it on a mostly highway jaunt yesterday and avg to was running about 18 with a strong headwind (20 sustained with gusts of 35) going 60. On the way home, the wind died down and I got 25.8 going 60. I breathed relief as I could see my hubs eyes watching that little green indicator...

I am really hopeful once they stop selling this winter blend sh** and it's not below zero for the high.

Re: Is there real gas mileage from owners ?

I have a 2014 V6 with the 9spd Active Drive II. My in town mileage is about 14.5mpg and my highway mileage is 31mpg. Keep in mind, your driving habits may vary from mine. I use the cruise control whenever I'm able too and set it to the speed limit posted on the highway. I also don't spend excessive amounts of time idling. I just shut my car off. My typical run of gas is a mix of city and highway driving and I get about 23mpg for the average tank of gas.
