Re: Jeep Cherokee fans stop complaining.

OK, this will be my last. Perhaps one of the better reviews with respect to scope. I have a Limited with the V6 on order. If I had a 4 cylinder on order I'd change it to the 6 after reading this review.

A couple months ago, I thee out the Subsru Crosstrek as a possible contender (at least for me). I am disappointed in the mpg of both engines. I realize the Cherokee is more capable off road (in Trailhawk trim) than any Subaru, and I have only had Grand Cherokees in the past 12 years, but fuel economy is a big selling point. So, congrats to you Trailhawks buyers, I will miss the nice UConnect and such, but have decided to go the underpowered, yet 25/33 Crosstrek route, for now .

Read the article please and don't just react to the headline. It is temporary and work will ramp back up once they get the current stock out of the storage yard.

I read the article--all seven sentences. After each dealer gets his two vehicle allotment, they will start building them again? I stand by my original comment.

Try this one. It has a LOT more information than the one linked above.
Chrysler temporarily lays off some Jeep employees - Toledo Blade

How I take it is they are running out of room in the storage lots and are cutting back production until they start shipping. I believe this has to do with the transmission recalibration.

Re: Jeep Cherokee fans stop complaining.

Consumer Reports has just published a positive "first Drive" for the 2014 Cherokee at: 2014 Jeep Cherokee | First Drive Review - Consumer Reports News

I hope the day I can take my first drive gets here soon.
